About the preserve
1161 Parkside Dr, Alexandria KY 41001
This preserve is a 9.6 acre parcel of mostly wetland habitat inside the Parkside subdivision. The south-east side of the property abuts up against A.J. Jolly Park and filters the run-off from the subdivision before entering A.J. Jolly Lake. NKU’s Center Environmental Restoration completed stream and wetland restoration and Groundwork Ohio has removed invasive species. In 2022 a public walking trail was installed.

Pendery Park Educational Trail
About the Trail
4113 Williams Ln Melbourne, KY 41059
In 2025, the Campbell Conservancy and the Campbell County Parks agreed to work together to install an educational nature trail in a 10 acre wooded wetland in Pendery Park. Work on the 0.25 mile trail started in late 2025. The trail is expected to be finished in early 2026 with educational additions being added in the future. Of special interest is the white turtlehead (Chelone glabra). This beautiful flowering plant is found in only 25% of the counties of Kentucky.

Flagged out 0.25 mile trail at Pendery Park.
